Welcome to the Carolinas Poison Center Online Continuing Education Program.
Carolinas Poison Center has created a self-study, online continuing education program for physicians and nurses that focuses on clinical presentation, including syndromes, laboratory testing, and management of chemical and biological agents. The program consists of 8 separate courses (click on the CME Courses link for course descriptions). Each course was developed by a Carolinas Poison Center toxicologist and is presented as a streaming video lecture, followed by a post-test and course evaluation.
Participants that successfully pass the post-test are required to complete an online course evaluation, in order to receive a certificate of completion. The program database will track the scores and courses completed by each candidate. There are no fees for viewing the courses or completing the post-tests, and participants can choose to take as few or as many courses as they require.
